《识药闻香》(Fragrance of Herbs)由深圳市药品检验研究院编写,深圳出版社授权新加坡玲子传媒出版社在新加坡同步出版发行。全书将中医药文化融入科普表达,以书籍为载体,把中药基础知识、品质辨识与文化阐释融为一体,以科普文脉追寻“闻香识药”的历史脉络与现代意义。
中药药性理论讲“四气五味”;既有“品味”,亦当“闻香”。书中精选艾叶、白芷、丁香、广藿香、胡椒、龙脑香、龙涎香、肉豆蔻、肉桂、乳香、麝香、檀香等12味著名香药,以通俗易懂的语言、图文并茂的形式,从探寻前世传说、审识现代沿革、明辨真伪优劣、品鉴百味香气四个方面进行了科普,横跨药性、宗教、艺术、美食、情感等维度,通过解读香药文化与跨文明交流故事,论述范围包括其功能、特性、种植、生产、加工、储藏、品鉴、历史溯源与文化内涵。读者在阅读中不仅能学习香药品质辨识的常识,也可能获得生命感悟与精神嬗变。全书以中英双语呈现,致力于促进中药香文化的跨文化传播。

书中每种中药都配有多幅古图、实拍图、手绘图,开篇都配有一首小诗,后详述与中药相关的传奇故事、名称史话、产地变迁、采收加工、商品规格、真伪鉴别、贮藏之道、现代应用等。

《识药闻香》是深圳市药品检验研究院继《识药品味》之后编写的另一部重磅中药科普作品。《识药品味》2024年获得中国国家市场监督管理总局优秀科普图书第一名,2025年被评为深圳十大科普典型案例之一。

Fragrance of Herbs is authored by the Shenzhen Institute for Drug Control and published by Shenzhen Publishing House, with simultaneous publication and distribution in Singapore by Lingzi Media. Merging cultural storytelling with popular science, the book presents essential TCM knowledge—sensory appraisal, quality identification, cultivation and processing—through the lens of aroma, continuing the approachable yet rigorous style of its predecessor, Herb of Wisdom.

Grounded in the TCM doctrine of the “Four Natures and Five Flavours”, the book asks readers to “taste” and “smell”. It curates 12 emblematic aromatic medicinals and weaves together facets of pharmacology, religion, art, cuisine and affect, unearthing cross-cultural stories that show how fragrance travelled across time and civilizations. Readers can learn practical know-how for identifying quality herbs while also finding reflections that inspire inner transformation.

Presented bilingually (Chinese–English), Fragrance of Herbs makes TCM aroma culture accessible to global audiences and highlights its long tradition of worldwide diffusion. With meticulous research, hand-drawn illustrations and lyrical couplets, the book opens a fragrant door into history, science and culture—an engaging journey where smelling becomes a way of knowing.
