Bian Huibin was born in Dalian China in 1964.
In 1978 he entered the Music Department of the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts Beijing China majoring in percussion in traditional Chinese opera and minoring in French horn.
After graduating in 1984 he stayed at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts as a teacher due to his outstanding performance.
In 1990 he was admitted to the Cinematography Department of the Beijing Film Academy and after graduation he began working in film production at the Youth Film Studio.
In 1995 he was invited to join Kawah Film Productions in Singapore where he engaged in the production of TV dramas documentaries and commercials.
In 1998 he established Hetian Film Productions Ptd Ltd in Singapore.
In 2008 his photography book “THE SIEDWALK BEAUTY—Stray Cats of Singapore” was published by Popular Bookstore.
In 2009 he founded the Singapore Chinese Opera Museum and has been serving as its first curator ever since.
In 2010 he established the Singapore Chinese Opera and Drama Society (Singapore) and has been its president to this day.
In 2013 he founded “Nanyang Channel” which is a video platform for exploring Singapore and its neighboring countries.
